National Conference Report on Emanations of Sustainable Technologies in Engineering, Science, Management & Education

A National Conference on ‘Emanations of Sustainable Technologies in Engineering, Science, Management and Education’ was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad. The conference was organized with a holistic aim to explore, recognize and facilitate the research amongst the academic fraternity, industry and graduate/undergraduate students from all over the country. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Sanjay Sarivastava, Managing Director, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions and Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University; in the presence of Dr. V.K.Mahna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Manav Rachna University; Dr. Meenakshi S. Khurana, Dean Academics, Dr. Pradeep K. Varshney, Professor and Director MRIIC; Dr. Bahal, Professor and Dean Research, Manav Rachna University; Dr. M.R.Tyagi, Dean Engineering, Manav Rachna University; and Dr. B.D.Pathak, Dean Examination, Manav Rachna University, faculty and students of the department.

Dr. Sagar Maji, Principal, GB Pant Engineering College, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, New Delhi, Director, Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, New Delhi gave the keynote address and congratulated the participants. Dr. Rajiv Nandan Rai, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering and Conference Convener gave a brief on ESTESME 2017 and highlighted the various statistics associated with the conference. Dr. Sujata Nayak, Associate Professor, Manav Rachna University gave vote of thanks for inauguration ceremony. The members of organizing committee viz. Dr. Sujata Nayak, Associate Professor, Manav Rachna University, Mr. Kapil Narwal, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering; Mohd. Badrul, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering; Ms. Ruchi Choudhary, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering; successfully handled the entire management work of ESTESME 2017. The Hospitality was managed by Mr. Ajit Katiyar, Associate Professor, Manav Rachna University, and Mr. Sanjay Taneja, Associate Professor, Manav Rachna University. Registration was managed by Mr. Sudhir Singh, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University and Mr. Suprit Wakde, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University. Mr. R.C.Chaturvedi, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University, and Mr. Joginder Singh, Associate Professor, Manav Rachna University attended the guests. The Finance responsibility of the conference was handled by Mr. J.P.Singh, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University and Mr. Prashant Bharadwaj, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University. Stationary and Publicity was handled by Mr. Sandeep Kumar Goyal, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University and Mr. Nazish Samshi, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University. Other remaining arrangements were taken care by Mr. Piyush Mahendru, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University, Mr. Pradeep Mauria, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University, Mr. Gianender Kajal, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University, Mr. Ajay Kr. Aggarwal, Assistant Professor, Manav Rachna University. Mr. A.K.Mishra, Sports officer, Manav Rachna University was a driving force, who along with his team helped in timely management of the activities.

A total of forty conference presentations were delivered out of a total eighty submissions. Presentations were delivered by academicians, industrial experts and students on the work done by them as a project, a study, or an internship. The ESTESME 2017 had four Technical Sessions with more than seventy percent presentations being given by students. Multidisciplinary nature of conference provided students with ample opportunities to network with the researchers from their own and other disciplines and also gave them an exposure on how various disciplines approach research problems. Technical Sessions were chaired by Dr. B.D.Pathak, Dean Examination, Manav Rachna University, Dr. B.K.Bhuyan, Professor, Manav Rachna International University; Dr. Debashis Pramanik, Professor, Manav Rachna International University and Dr. Babita Parashar, Professor, Manav Rachna International University. The valedictory address was given by Dr. V.K.Mahna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Manav Rachna University; Dr. M.R.Tyagi, Dean Engineering, Manav Rachna University. Dr. Bahal, Professor and Dean Research, Manav Rachna University also addressed the participants. Dr. Rajiv Nandan Rai, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering, Manav Rachna University gave vote of thanks in the end. The conference was finally concluded successfully.
