National Conference on Psychological Applications and Interventions
A National Conference on ‘Psychological Applications and Interventions: Reaching Out and Making a Difference’ was organized by Department of Psychology, Daulat Ram College, the University of Delhi recently. Prof. Devesh K. Sinha, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi was the Chief Guest for the conference.
On the first day of the Conference, a panel discussion was organized on the conference theme. Prof. SPK Jena, HOD, Department of Psychology, University of Delhi was the moderator. The illustrious panelists included Dr. Roma Kumar, Sr. Consultant, Institute of Child Health and Clinical Psychologist, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and three alumni of the university, Dr. Chhavi Bhargava Sharma, Executive Director and Dean, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies; Dr. Rima Sehgal, Educational Counselor, and Dr. Deepali Rai, Clinical Psychologist, VIMHANS. It was a very interesting session hosted by the wonderful Dr. Renu Kishore.
The conference aimed to provide a great platform to academicians, practitioners as well as other stakeholders to chart out a future course of action for psychology to achieve its desired aim of “Reaching Out and Making a Difference”.
