MRU Library Organizes Orientation Program on Supreme Court Cases (SCC) Online Database for Faculty of Law Students and Faculty

MRU Library organized an Orientation Program on ‘Searching Supreme Court Cases (SCC) Database Effectively’ for the students and staff of the Faculty of Law. Mr. Praveen Kuhad and Ms. Stuti from SCC online explained in detail on how to access and search the SCC database. The session was very enlightening as it gave the opportunity to explore the range of e-resources available in MRU Library in particular for the Faculty of Law.

The orientation program focused on demonstrating the best possible techniques for an effective search. Features like ‘Setting Alert’, creating ‘Search Folders’ and keeping oneself up-to-date in the areas of Law education were also shown to the participants. Students and faculty were explained the steps to find Case law by Section, Browse Law reports and Judgments. The Faculty members and students found the session very informative and fruitful for their academic endeavors. Advance training on the database has been planned in the next session scheduled in November 2017.
