MRU Entrepreneurship Cell Introduces Yatra: Journey to Excellence – A Talk Series

Episode 1 – An Online Expert Interaction on New Age Entrepreneurship

In our endeavor to build the right skills and environment towards promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the campus, E- cell at MRU plans to hold a series of interactions with industry experts and entrepreneurship educators to guide the students in their entrepreneurial journey.

The first interaction in this direction was conducted on the topic ‘New age entrepreneurship’ on August 21, 2020. The guest speaker was Dr. Monika Goel, Director FCBS- MRIIRS &Chief Co-ordinator – MR NewGen IEDC who shared her insights, experiences, and knowledge in this field with the participants.

There were around 40 participants from the Engineering and Management stream who had actively and enthusiastically participated.

Some of the takeaways from the discussion were that  there exists a huge difference between traditional and new-age entrepreneurship, the pros and cons of new-age entrepreneurship, the gradual shift from something ‘new’ to something ‘different’ in decades, the skills required to be an entrepreneur and business mindset.

It was an interactive session where participants had put up their questions and the speaker was delighted to answer them. The participants also attempted a short quiz based on the contents delivered in the session.

The event was well coordinated by Muskaan Khurana(Event Head) and Vinayak Pahujani (Event Co-Head), under the supervision of  Mukesh Das(Student Head) and Yatharth Vohra (Student Co-Head) and creative support from our Creative team which was headed by Divyansh Ahuja.
