MRIIRS, is organising a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP)

Automation, an essential aspect of the modern technology, is aimed to reduce human efforts as well as bring improvement in productivity and quality of various functions. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS, Formerly MRIU) is organising a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Servo and Variable Frequency Drives” in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric India from 18th to 22nd December 2017.

The program which has 18 participants from MRIIRS, Amity University, K.R. Mangalam University, IIT Dhanbad, and National Power Training Institute (NPTI) aims to cover the modules on Servo Motor, Servo Amplifier, Mitsubishi FR800 series Inverter, Recent Trends in Industrial Automation & PLC, V/F Control, and Multi-speed operation, auto-tuning. All these modules will involve hands-on training for an effective practical learning.

Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS; Dr. M.K. Soni, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS; and Dr. Krishan Kant, Executive Director and Dean, FET presided over the inauguration ceremony. Stressing on the need for honing practical knowledge, Dr. N.C. Wadhwa said: “We always promote experiential learning and problem-solving techniques for effective learning. Such type of exposure through FDPs widens our vision and horizon of thoughts”.

The inauguration set the path right for the five-day program and keeps our expectation high for its grand success.
