Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) is hosting Asia’s largest Science Innovation Competition, the 14th edition of ‘International Exhibition for Young Inventors 2018’ (IEYI – 2018) organized by Foundation for Glocal Science Initiatives (FGSI) from 17th October ’18 to 20th October’18.
The inaugural ceremony of the international exhibition was presided over by Mr. Ashutosh Chadha, Group Director-Microsoft India. More than 350 science innovators from over 14 countries are participating in the three-day event. Representatives and student delegates from all the participating countries were encouraged by the esteemed guests Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI); Er Anuj Sinha, Chairman, FGSI; Prof. Henry H. Chen, Director Science and Technology Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India; Dr. NC Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS and other senior dignitaries from Manav Rachna.
Students will be showcasing their innovations and projects on different themes such as Education & Recreation, Disaster Management, Science, Art, and more. The project exhibition will be on showcase at Hotel Vivanta by Taj, Faridabad on October 18, 2018 and October 19, 2018. The valedictory session will be held on October 20, 2018 at Manav Rachna campus.
Welcoming the delegates from 14 countries, Er Anuj Sinha, Chairman FGSI India said, “The congregation of talented students aka budding scientists from various countries culminating in India is as exciting as it gets with the best science brains from India fighting for top honours as well”.
Dr. Amit Bhalla said, “The youth of India has immense talent and we at Manav Rachna constantly strive to provide them with the technological platform to showcase their talent and enhance their vision. IEYI is one such exciting opportunity for us as a host. I am glad to note that the projects developed by students are on the theme of UN Sustainable Development Goals and am really eager to see what the future beholds!”
