Manav Rachna signs MoU with Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited for digitizing the campus and to offer short term programs for its Institutions to create a steady stream of students who would be industry-ready

Manav Rachna has always believed in provided cutting edge technology to its students to prepare them as future leaders and technocrats of tomorrow. At the MoU signed between Manav Rachna and Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, the Institutions of Manav Rachna can look forward to a digitized campus and short programs of varying durations that would enable students to be tech-savvy in a digitized world. Reliance Jio has partnered with Manav Rachna to help create a ready talent pool to be hired by Jio Centres. This will enable Reliance Jio to create a sustainable supply chain of skilled and certified talent. Manav Rachna, for its part, is dedicated towards the nurturing of recruitment-ready students, and the recent MoU would therefore be a step in the right direction.

As part of the understanding, Manav Rachna would provide dedicated space along with smart classrooms for the Reliance Jio setup. Reliance Jio would be setting up a complete Training Centre at the campus and train the faculty members on Fibre Optics Technology, Sales and Marketing. The trained faculty would then disseminate knowledge to the students. As an initial step, Reliance Jio shall provide all required training equipments and display products to establish a Fibre Optic Communications Lab in the Electronics and Communications Department at the Manav Rachna campus.

Speaking on the MoU, Dr Amit Bhalla, Vice President, MREI, said, “This collaboration marks the beginning of the vast wealth of opportunities that is bound to open up for Manav Rachna’s students. We look forward to the digitization of our entire campus and a future where our students and faculty can explore Reliance Jio lab infrastructure and latest trends and technology for research opportunities. We are confident that this tie-up will ensure hands on practical exposure for our students and help them acquire technical expertise.”

While Dr Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI, signed the MoU on behalf of Manav Rachna; Mr Bala Iyer, Vice President, Reliance Jio, signed the MoU on behalf of Reliance Jio. Also present at the signing of the MoU were Dr Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI and VC, MRU; Dr N.C. Wadhwa, VC, MRIU; Dr V.K.
