Manav Rachna joins hands with Faridabad Police for Smart Policing

Manav Rachna has always aligned itself with social causes as part of its endeavour to make a difference in the lives of people and communities. In a unique mission that is likely to create an environment of safety, harmony and sense of responsibility in society, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) have associated with the Faridabad Police for SMART POLICING under the Public Private Partnership  for Police Patrolling.

MREI has donated a Mahindra Scorpio to the Faridabad Police for patrolling in the nearby areas. The vehicle was flagged off today from the MREI campus by Sh. Amitabh Singh Dhillon, (IPS) Commissioner of Police, Faridabad and Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, MREI in the presence of Ms. Nitika Gahlaut (IPS), DCP-NIT; Mr. Vikram Kapoor, (IPS) DCP-HQ; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. N C Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD-MREI and other dignitaries.

It is noteworthy, that under the same initiative last year MREI had donated a Maruti Ertiga Car (PCR-33) for the purpose of Joint Patrolling.

Deeply appreciative of the flora and fauna of Manav Rachna and of its support for this noble initiative,  Sh. Amitabh Singh Dhillon said: “We thank Manav Rachna for lending their support to AAPKI SURAKSHA AAPKE SATH mission as part of its conscientious move to help bring about safety and security not just in Manav Rachna but also in its neighbourhood”.

Dr. Prashant Bhalla said, “Manav Rachna has associated with this noble initiative as part of its community outreach activities to help combat and prevent anti-social behavior and urban crime rate. The concept of Smart Policing has been successful in maintaining a peaceful Faridabad and enhancing the safety and security of the region while providing adequate surveillance. We take immense pride in associating with Faridabad Police towards that end.”

The dignitaries also participated in a tree plantation (where Peepal and Arjun trees were planted) at the MREI campus to mark the occasion.

Sh. Amitabh Dhillon also visited the Manav Rachna Sports Science Centre, Manav Rachna Shooting Range, Radio Manav Rachna, Innovation & Incubation Centre, Dr. O P Bhalla Central Library and the other key facets of the campus.
