Manav Rachna fraternity sets high benchmarks at Convocation 2019

Manav Rachna’s Convocation 2019 was recognition of the hard work of its students, a testimony of the commitment of its faculty and a beautiful encapsulation of excellence across all spheres.

More than 1900 degrees were awarded to students of Manav Rachna Dental College, Manav Rachna University and Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) at a three-day long grand Convocation ceremony organized from December 6-8 at the MREI campus.

The third and the final day of the ceremony today was grand in all aspects. Students from all the non-engineering streams of MRIIRS including Management, Media Studies, Architecture, Computer Applications, Business Studies, Social Studies were awarded degrees by Sh. Anurag Thakur, Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs, GoI in the presence of Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI; Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, MREI; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, VC, MRIIRS; and several veterans from the academic, corporate, government and administrative bodies.

Being a young leader himself, Sh. Anurag Thakur motivated the graduands to follow their heart in whatever they do, be conscious about the climate change, do their bit to save the Earth, and be fit physically and mentally. Recognizing the youth power, he said, “You are the power of the nation and you ought to be fit to lead the nation into a vision the world would one day be proud of”.

Dr. Sanjay Srivastava presented a beautiful glimpse of the academic and other holistic achievements of the students of MRIIRS during the last one year. He reiterated: “It is easier to pass the test of school or college but it is difficult to pass the test of life. We have tried our best to prepare you for that test of life. Hence, chart your goals carefully and stick to them with all humility.”

The convocation memoir ‘Pratibimb’ was also released on the occasion. The presence of the distinguished alumni of MRIIRS made the day even more special. The flag of the alumni association was formally handed over to the newest members of the Alumni Association on this august occasion.
