Manav Rachna FEST RESURRECTION 2K15
A three day Techno-Cultural FEST Resurrection 2k15 was organized at the Manav Rachna Campus on 15-16-17th April 2015. The event witnessed participation of about 400 students from various colleges and institutions in 25+ events.
The preparations started from November 2014 with a Students Core team of 47 members from various faculties and institutions of Manav Rachna. This FEST was an event of its own kind as it was the FIRST composite event on the Manav Rachna platform i.e. it involved MRIU, MRCE/MRU, MRDC and MRCEd. In addition to the 25+ events comprising of Cultural, Literary, Technical and Healthcare departments, the FEST also had a JAM session on 15th April and an EDM star night on 16th April 2015.
The students organizing team had 380 members in addition to the 47 Students Core Team members from various faculties and institutions which played a major role in making this FEST a grand success.
DJ Wars, Fashion Show, Battle of Bands, Nutri Salad, Group Dance, Street Soccer and EDM night were the highlights of the events and magnetized huge crowds.
The EDM (Electronic Dance and Music) night was organized on the 2nd day of the FEST i.e. on 16th April 2015. The stars who came for EDM were Nikhil Chinapa(from Bangalore) and Megamen (Featured Artists from Tomorrowland, Belgium). A student audience of around 15-20 thousand and faculty/staff members witnessed the EDM night and enjoyed it to the brim. Nikhil Chinapa stated that this EDM night was Asia’s Best EDM night after Mood Indigo (IIT Bombay’s FEST).
Hindustan Times covered the event and published an article on page 3 stating Manav Rachna’s Resurrection to be “The Mother of all College Fests”. The 3 day FEST was organized into full discipline and there was no mishappening or any incident of indiscipline of any kind that could have spoiled the show. The event was appreciated by one and all of the Manav Rachna Parivaar. The students were very enthusiastic to be part of an event of such magnitude stature.
The FEST got organized successfully with direction, support, involvement & participation of one & all from Manav Rachna Parivar.
