Manav Rachna Educational Institutions launch First Clan Day with fun n frolic

Manav Rachna Educational Institutions created history by launching one of its kind – Manav Rachna Life Skill Programme (MRLSP) Clan Day at University’s sprawling Central lawns.
Before the launch, students were extensively informed about the concept of Clans by Mr. Vipul Gautam, Head, Strategic Operations and Business Development. He said, “Clans are an extended family which lends support and helps developing over all personality and grooms one into a confident person.”
The event was flagged off by Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, MRU and MD, MREI; Dr. V.K. Mahna, PRO Vice Chancellor and other senior dignitaries.
In his inaugural address, Dr. N.C Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University said with the launch of Clan Day, the orientation session finally concludes with their formal induction. Explaining what Clans are all about, he said that besides studies, extra-curricular activities are also important for the students. The four Clans are – air Falcons, Wild Cats, Water Sharks and Forest Rhinos and are the best way to discover hidden talents and lets students to groom themselves into a better human being.

Explaining the concept further, the Vice Chancellor said that the best universities across the globe leverage their students with opportunities to engage with teachers and the university management in a structured partnership, thereby endowing them with practical skills in communications, planning and project and organizational management.


He also said that with the world becoming so demanding and competitive, there’s a need for proficiency, here these Clans come into play and readies them to take up the challenges that life throws at them. With so much of fun activities around, students will be able to enhance their Communications and cognitive skills.


Clans will prepare students for better tomorrow. He also wished luck to students to showcase their talent and make Manav Rachna Family proud.
Seconding Dr. Wadhwa’s thoughts, Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University and MD, MREI said the Clans foundation is based on the two teachings and beliefs of our Visionary Dr. O.P Bhalla. These two beliefs are – Character and Confidence. He also said that Clans teaches us about the resilience and renewal as they will help us to rejuvenate and make us realise of our true potential. These four clans will help develop ourselves socially, emotionally and intellectually. “I wish luck to all the students and believe you all will make your Alma Mater proud by bringing laurels.”
In addition, students and teachers were enthralled by performance of Mridaksh – a students’ dance society of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.
