M.Sc. Mathematics Students went on an EduTrip to IIT Roorkee

The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Manav Rachna University organized an educational trip for M.Sc. Mathematics 3rd Semester students to attend a National Conference on “Modeling Optimization and Computing for Engineering Problems: Use of Technical Hindi Terminology” held at IIT Roorkee, recently. The Conference was sponsored and funded by the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology (CSTT), MHRD, Government of India.

The first plenary session on “Mathematical Modeling for increasing population in Banaras” was conducted by Professor P.K Jain, Director, IIT-BHU. Prof. Jain discussed the application of population research through various real life examples. A technical session on “Mathematical Modeling Engineering applications on Fourier series” was delivered by esteemed Professor PN Aggarwal, IIT Roorkee. He is a well known expert in the area ofApproximation theory, Numerical Methods, and Complex Analysis all over the globe. Prof. Aggarwal exchanged his views on Just in Time strategy for improvisation of the production process.
A technical session on the importance of lightweight cryptographic applications was conducted by Professor R.C Mittal, Ex-head, Department of Mathematics, IIT Roorkee.  In addition to that, a few interesting sessions were held on Nature-inspired Optimization and Corporate Yoga.

The trip was highly informative for the students and faculty members in pursuing further research in the upcoming areas. Student interaction with faculty members of IIT Roorkee   helped them broaden their horizon.
