In continuation of the lecture series on Research Paper Writing, Session II was focused on Effective Communication which was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Veena Choudhary, Professor-Emeritus, IIT, Delhi. She is an expert in the field of polymer science and engineering, and has published/presented more than 380 research papers in journals/conference with over 3800 citations, an h-index of 32 and i 10-index of 106. She has about five patents to her credit.
She discussed the key points in Effective Communication which include listening, non-verbal listening, how to understand communication effectively. She also focused on important ‘C’s (completeness, conciseness, consideration, clarity, concreteness, courtesy, and correctness) of communication which are known as the basics of effective communication. The difference in CV, Resume, Biography, Technical writing aspects, cover letter, and other source of communications was also discussed.
