Lecture on “Women’s Heart Health Month” for Dental students and faculty members

If you steal someone’s heart, do you get cardiac arrest?

If stealing hearts were a crime, ‘women’ would be prime suspects.

But why do we talk about their health and hearts last?

Department of Oral Pathology, General Medicine & Surgery, Manav Rachna Dental College commemorated ‘Women’s Heart Health Month’ recently with a lively lecture on “Women’s Heart Health Month”. Dr. Pratul Priyadarshi and Dr. M Y Shareef, resource faculty members, offered their perspectives on women’s heart health awareness in the Indian population at the session.

‘Communities and countries are only as strong as their women’s health,’ said one speaker to the gathering. The best purchase in public health today, according to both speakers, is a mix of regular healthful activity and a good diet.

Later on, there were engaging games for the attendees, which were tied up with the day’s theme.

It was all a celebration of what it meant to be a woman!

Here’s to strong women: May we get to know them, be them, and raise them!
