International Research Conclave by FCA, MRIIRS

Faculty of Computer Applications, MRIIRS organized an International Research Conclave recently associated with Springer Nature and ACM intending to provide an excellent platform to nurture young minds toward emerging research and innovative problems. Over 600 participants participated across the globe in hybrid mode. A keynote address on “Drafting an Effective Funded Research Proposal” was delivered by Dr. Jyoti Sharma, International Cooperation Division, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India.

Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Srivastava graced the occasion with his benign presence and was greeted with a floral welcome by Dr. Usha Batra Dean-FCA & Dr. Rashmi Agrawal HOD-CA. Mr. Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi, Managing Director, Springer Nature India, advised the participants to be serious about what they want to do in life. The event was preceded by a Poster Presentation, which got over 100 entries worldwide, with 64 posters selected and shown. The other eminent speaker of the day was Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Additional Director / Scientist ‘E’ at the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY). Prof. Dr. Atma Sahu, Professor, and Chair of Mathematics and Computer Science, Department, Coppin State University, USA, a well-renowned researcher and a great mentor, discussed how to secure an International Funded Research Project. Prof. KC Santosh, Chair of the Department of Computer Science at the University of South Dakota (USD), was the last eminent speaker. He discussed a lot of case studies and research articles published by his research lab in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning in Smart Healthcare.

A Valedictory session followed the announcement of the poster presentation winners. The audience was invigorated on the eve of the event’s second day by a passionate cultural performance. Aniket Kumar, Sharda University, bagged the first Consolation prize, and his topic was helping hands. Ms. Poonam Singh Parihar, Department of Social Science, Manav Rachna University, presented a poster on Women Empowerment.
