International Congregation at Dhaka, Bangladesh
Dr. Pooja Kapoor from the Department of Management and Commerce, Manav Rachna University had been invited as the chairperson and paper presenter in the ‘International Congregation on Women Empowerment, Gender Diversity & Financial Inclusion’ on April 29 & 30, 2019 organized by Dhaka International University, Bangladesh. A number of about 25 foreign delegates were invited from India and Indonesia out of which only 2 were from North India including Dr Kapoor.
She had been awarded with a Memento from the organizers along with the certificate for paper presentation on the sub theme of the International Congregation on its first day.
On the second day, all delegates visited the Yunus Centre at Mirpur, Bangladesh. The delegation visited Yunus Centre to understand the concept and practice of social business, especially the impact on women’s empowerment.
They received a presentation on the social business work worldwide and had an interactive session with Ms. Lamiya Morshed, Executive Director at Yunus Centre. The delegates had a tour of the Nobel Gallery at Grameen Bank Bhaban.
