Industry Visit of students of BBA Finance and Accounts, Department of Management and Commerce

Students of BBA Finance and Accounts, Department of Management and Commerce visited Sriram Pistons and Rings Lt 9SPR) plant at RIICO Industrial Area Pathredi, District Alwar Rajasthan.SPR is the largest exporter of Pistons and Rings from India and its customers include Ford, Honda, Kia, Renault, WABCO and has the ‘Trading House’ status from Government of India. The plant manufactures pistons, piston rings, engine valves and piston pins. The plant has over 2000 employees and is 95 % automated. The company had sales turnover of approx. Rs 1400 crore in 2016 and was recently awarded the Sword of Honour by British Safety Council.

Students were briefed about HR, CSR and operations functions of the plant by Mr Dilip Tiwari, HR Head, and Mr Rajesh Choudhary, Manager IR. They were informed about the Finance and Accounting practices by the team of Finance. The students then formed four teams to visit the four production units. The students were accompanied by Prof. Jaideep Singh, Director Industry Interaction, Prof Rajat Gera, and Prof. Bindu Agrawal.
