Industrial visit at Reva Industries Ltd. Faridabad

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology organized a one day industrial visit for M.tech (First year) at Reva Cranes, Sec 25 Faridabad.

Reva cranes are a pioneer name in the field of Crane manufacturing. The company has a customer focused and product focused view point and holds a very good position in the market. The main products of the Reva cranes are EOT cranes, Electric wire rope hoists, Jib cranes, Gantry cranes etc.

Students were provided basic information of industrial safety and later on provided the complete presentation and flowchart of the organization. Students during the visit came to know about the different processes and latest machinery being used in manufacturing of cranes like Gear Hobbing, Gear broaching, Cylindrical grinding,  CNC etc. A brief knowledge of electric panels and applications of different types of cranes were also imparted to the students.

They also learnt the various operations and productivity improvement techniques like 5S, Kaizen, Six sigma etc which will be also beneficial in their M.tech final project.
