Industrial visit to Infosys Chandigarh Development Centre by MRU Students

On 30th March,  Second year students of B.Tech CSE/IT & M.Tech. CE, Manav Rachna University, along with Ms. Hanu Bharadwaj, HoD Computer Science and Technology Department, and Faculty members- Mr Sunny Dagar, Mr Ankur Aggarwal & Ms Neha Nandal, paid an industrial visit to Infosys Chandigarh Development Centre, under the Campus Connect initiative. At first, a seminar was conducted by Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, Education Training​  & Assessment Department. The talk emphasized on how testing is playing a major role in the today’s IT industry scenario. The students were briefed about different career opportunities in the IT industry including testing as one of the major options. She also discussed about the roles of a tester, different types of testing and phases of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).

After the session, students took a tour around the Infosys Campus to see the work stations, facilities like gymnasium, pharmacy, shopping complex, library, food court etc. To conclude, students’ visit under this initiative helped in bridging the gap between academics and the IT industry.
