Indian Spinal Injuries Center

Department of Physiotherapy, FAS organized a visit to the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi for Master of Physiotherapy students (1st and 3rd semester) on October 10, 2018.

A group of 42 students along with two faculty members Dr. Shalini Grover (PT) and Dr. Deepti Sharma (PT) visited ISIC. Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC) is the most advanced Spine, Orthopedic and Neuromuscular Surgical Centre in India with the latest state of the art diagnostics and surgical equipments.

The students visited Department of Assistive technology, Neuro and Orthopedics Rehabilitation, Prosthetic and Orthotics, exercise therapy lab, electrotherapy lab, sports lab, hand, yoga therapy, traditional therapies lab and hydrotherapy.

Students learned about various equipments used in rehabilitation department, types of wheelchairs, seats, cushioning methods, procedure of making Orthosis and Prosthesis. It was a learning experience for students which were both enjoyable and memorable.
