Inauguration of Two Weeks E-FDP in Entrepreneurship Development

To spread the facts about entrepreneurship, a two-week Faculty Development Program on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’ was inaugurated at Manav Rachna on April 5, 2021. This program is organized by the faculty of Management Studies in association with Manav Rachna New Gen IEDC and supported by AICTE, New Delhi. This program will continue till April 17, 2021. Around 55 faculty mentors from the institutions across pan India are participating in the E FDP.  

The inaugural session was started by Dr. Meghna Chhabra (Associate Professor and Program Coordinator), and set the program context.

Along with her team of coordinators, Dr. Rajender Kumar (Assistant Professor, MED, FET) and Mr. Kartik Rampal (Program Coordinator, NewGen IEDC), Dr. Meghna thanked AICTE for giving the opportunity and support for conducting the FDP.

Further to that, Dr Monika Goel (Chief Coordinator NewGen IEDC and Dean FCBS) took a formal discussion on the program objectives. She also took the dignitaries and the participants through the virtual tour of the campus.

Dr. Nand Lal Dhameja (Dean, FMS) detailed the role of institutions in Entrepreneurship Development and also expressed his views on the circular economy. 

The program’s welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS, . During his address, he motivated all the participants to add the knowledge repository and enhance professionalism in teaching. 

The ‘Guest of Honour, Mr S.B. Sareen [Director Department of Projects (Govt.) Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad] spoke about the vision and the mission for EDII, Ahmedabad, and highlighted the institute’s achievements to date.  He specifically mentioned that there might be many business ideas, but turning them into actual entrepreneurial action is the main achievement.

The ‘Chief Guest’, Dr Devi Singh, (Former Director, IIM Lucknow), emphasized Innovation and Research roles that the Higher Educational Institutions can play. During his address, he discussed entrepreneurial myths and facts. He also emphasized the utility of good practice concisely with the opportunities.

The concluding remarks were presented by Prof. (Dr.) Pardeep Kumar, honorable Pro-Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS. During his talk, he added the novelty of ideas and researches. He discussed the design and innovation requisitions for the aspirants from Higher Educational Institution and suggested the road map for the same. 

The event was moderated by Ms Antara from CDC and was well supported by the team of student coordinators from the E Cell, NewGen IEDC.
