Inauguration of National Kho Kho Coach Development Programme at Manav Rachna campus

National Kho Kho Coach Development Programme being organized by Kho Kho Federation of India from 3^rd to 12^th March 2021 was inaugurated today at Manav Rachna campus. Mr. Sudhanshu Mittal, President, Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI); Mr. Shiv Singh, MD, Shiv Naresh Sports; Mr. Tenzing Niyogi, CEO, Ultimate Kho Kho; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Mr. M.S. Tyagi, General Secretary, KKFI; Maj Gen Vikram Dev Dogra, Advisor, KKFI; Mr. Santosh Kanekar, Advisor, KKFI; Mr. Sarkar Talwar, Director- Sports, MREI; and Mr. Subhash Kumar, DIG Shasastra Seema Bal were present during the ceremony.

Dr. Amit Bhalla addressed the audience and said, ‘A Sport is recognized and become popular when both coach and players are sincere.’ He also asked them to be a learner for the next ten days of the development programme.

Mr. Tenzing Niyogi emphasized on the qualities of teamwork and leadership, and how these qualities define the sportsmanship of the players and coaches.

Mr. Sudhanshu Mittal motivated the coaches saying, “Your spirit is the foundation of the success of this camp. Take benefit from this development programme and take Kho Kho to another level.”

A detailed report of the Kho Kho players who participated in the first-ever scientific training programme by KKFI and Ultimate Kho Kho was also presented. Players were assessed on the basis of the following: biomechanics, injury assessment, postural analysis, nutritional, psychological, communication and media handling factors.
