Inaugural Ceremony of Two Weeks National FDP on Entrepreneurship

Manav Rachna NewGen IEDC of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) has organized two week FDP on Entrepreneurship from November 26 to December 8, 2018 under DST-NIMAT Scheme.

The “Faculty Development Programme (FDP)” is designed to train and motivate the faculty members from Universities, Engineering Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges and Entrepreneurship Development Institutions which are involved or likely to be involved in Promotion of Entrepreneurship related activities.

25 participants from various colleges and universities across India arrived for this informative event on Entrepreneurship. The event started with the lamp lighting ceremony and the invigorating speech by Dr N C Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS inspired all to understand the fact that learning is a process and not a destination.

Er Anuj Sinha, Chairman of the Board at NCSTC Network was the guest of honor for the day. Er Sinha stated that in the era of liberalization and globalization along with ongoing information technology revaluation, capable entrepreneurs are making use of the opportunities emerging from the evolving scenario.

Dr. Pradeep K. Varshney, Professor & Director- MRIIC informed the participants about the start-ups incubated at Manav Rachna campus and the support provided in this regard. He also reiterated the funding of Rs 2.67 crore to New Gen IEDC to accelerate its activities for encouraging research, innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

The 1st day of FDP was blissfully initiated with the session of Dr. Monika Goel who explained the various aspects and opportunity related to entrepreneurship.

The last session was convened by Dr. Amit Seth who briefly explained Indian history related to entrepreneurship vis-a-vis the global markets in the past.
