Department of Management and Commerce (DMC), Manav Rachna University (MRU) organised a guest lecture on the topic ‘Marketing Transformation during Covid 19’ recently. Mr. Hitesh Kakar was the speaker and enlightened students with his 23 years rich professional experience in organizations like Tata Group, Network 18, Magus, Customer Dialog, Bharti Airtel and CPM India. He has spent over a decade in virtual/online shopping and managing on-ground retail business which has given him a unique perspective. The session was coordinated by Dr. Rashi Banerji, Assistant Professor, DMC, MRU. The session was attended by Prof. Parul Jhajharia, Dean, DMC; faculty members and around 55 1st Sem students.
Following points were discussed during the session: Adapt/adopt/do marketing philosophy; Return of Kirana regime during Covid 19; Vocal for local; Supply chain issues faced during Covid 19; Shopper journey with the online and offline mix; The newly coined term ‘Phygital’ i.e. serving the consumers in both physical+digital world; and Importance of data leveraging in post covid period.
The session was followed by a question/answer of the students. The session ended with a Vote of Thanks.
