Guest Lecture by Mr Abhinav Bhushan

Centre of Excellence on Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) at the Faculty of Law, Manav Rachna University organised a guest lecture by Mr Abhinav Bhushan, South Asia Director, International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration & ADR.

A graduate from Government Law College, Mumbai, Mr. Bhushan also earned a LLM degree from the prestigious Columbia Law School, New York. He was the first Indian to be appointed as Deputy Counsel at the ICC and he has been an active member of the international arbitration community.

Mr Bhushan took the audience on a journey of his days as a law student. He encouraged the students to follow a three-pronged approach – moot, write, intern – in order to grow and expand their knowledge base. A large part of his interaction touched upon the importance of grades and a well-balanced CV.

The students of the third-year law course currently studying arbitration, and faculty members affiliated with CADR were stimulated by the in-depth legal analysis of the justice system in India, and the emphasis on career prospects in the field of arbitration from an international perspective.

Post the lecture, Mr Bhushan also visited the Manav Rachna Sports Academy and tried his hand at the shooting range.
