Group Discussion organized at Department of English

Department of English, Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities, MRIIRS conducted a Group Discussion as a part of the clan activity recently. The event was conducted to explore the talent of the students and to improve their public speaking. In the first round, students discussed the burning topic of Corona Virus. In the final round, they discussed the subject of various literary writers and their important works. They were also able to put their innovative ideas and brimming cumulative points amongst all.
The participants were judged on the basis of content, confidence, fluency, body language and overall disposition. The discussion was conducted well under the guidance of the faculty coordinator Dr. Jayashree Hazarika. Ms. Sakshi Garg, M. A. (II Sem) was the student coordinator of the activity. The activity was judged by Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Associate Professor.

Later, the students were guided on how they can further improve their speaking and presentation skills.
