Indo-German Energy FORUM (IGEF) has brought a Touring Exhibition “Deutschland’s Energiewende” (Energy Transition in Germany) to India. The exhibition has been put together by the German Federal Foreign Office and GIZ India at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) Campus from 22nd January to 3rd February 2018. The exhibition highlights the importance of energy efficiency and renewable energy for the future.
Inauguration of Germany Energy Exhibition was held at MRIIRS on 22nd January 2018. Mr. Tobias Winter, Director, Indo-German Energy Forum (IGEF); Mr. Anil Kumar Bellary, Co-Director, IGEF, GIZ India; and Mr. Michael Reck, a Project Associate at IGEF presided over to inaugurate the exhibition. The event was also graced by the revered presence of Dr. N C Wadhwa, Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS; Dr. Krishan Kant, ED and Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), MRIIRS; and Mr. Manoj Nayak, HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, MRIIRS, and other faculties of MRIIRS.
Dr. Krishan Kant, ED and Dean, FET welcomed all the guests and addressed the gathering by saying, “The exhibition on “German Energiewende” will showcase renewal energy technology and will help the students in generating new research ideas”. Dr. N C Wadhwa, VC, MRIIRS said, “In this exhibition, students can see pioneer efforts in the field of renewal energy and technology put by Germany.”
Mr. Anil Kumar Bellary gave a brief introduction about the exhibition and said that the exhibition will give you a glimpse of how far Germany has travelled in the field of Renewal Energy. “Through Renewable Energy, our major concerns are Job, Climate Change and Environment Protection, E-mobility, and Transport”, Mr. Tobias Winter said.
The exhibition was inaugurated by all the dignitaries present, which was followed by the brief explanation of exhibition by Mr. Michael.
The ‘Inauguration of German Energy Exhibition’ was a grand success and we hope the exhibition will reach its zenith with the great participation from students, faculties and other interested personalities.
