FMS, MRIU @ Industry-Academia Conference

FMS faculty of Manav Rachna International University attended the Industry-Academia Conference organized by CINQUE in association with BIMTECH on ‘Indian Higher Education: Towards Next Horizon (Collaborating Strategy between Industry and Academia)’. With a clear focus on ensuring that Academia and Industry work together like partners rather than adversaries, the Conference is committed to come up with an implementable agenda and ensure periodic reviews with all stake-holders to ensure the continuity of the exercise.

FMS used this opportunity to introduce to the corporate leaders it’s most sought for Industry-centric programs – MBA – HR and MBA – HealthCare.

Padmashri Dr Pritam Singh, (CEO-Lead Center and Ex-Director IIM-Lucknow, MDI) was Conference Patron while Mr S Y Siddiqui (Chief Mentor-Maruti Suzuki India Limited) and Dr H Chaturvedi (Alternate President-EPSI and Director-BIMTECH) were Conference Corporate and Academic Chair respectively.

While Mr Manoj Kolhi (Executive Chairman, Softbank Energy) delivered Key Note address, the other speakers at the conference include Mr Suresh Tripathi (Head HR, Tata Steel), Mr P Dwarakanath ( Director, Group Human Capital-MAX India), Mr D P Singh (Head HR, India/SA-IBM), Mr Rajesh Uppal (CIO, Maruti Suzuki), Ms Mamta V (Head HR, INVESCO), Mr Sanjay Jorapur (CHRO, Hero Motocorp), DrRishikesh Krishnan (Director-IIM Indore), Dr Gautam Sinha (Director-IIM Kashipur), Dr Devi Singh (VC, FLAME University), Dr Asha Bhandarker (Distinguished Professor, IMI),Dr Debashis Sanyal (Vice Provost, Management Education-NMIMS) and Prof Subir Verma (Professor, Fore School of Management).

The four themes of the conference included Architecting excellence in Curriculum: Collaborative Venture, From Gurukula to Corporate World: Collaborative Agenda, Leveraging Learning Experience through the Power of Technology: Collaborative View, and Grooming Leaders: Power of Experiential Learning. The conference witnessed a power-packed congregation of more than 100 decision-makers from Corporate and Academia alike.
