Fifth Meeting of the Advisory Board
Fifth Meeting of the Advisory Board at Faculty of Law, Manav Rachna University was convened on September 7, 2019.
It was chaired by Hon’ble Justice R.C. Lahoti (Former Chief Justice of India) and attended by Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions; Dr. Amit Bhalla, Vice President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions; Hon’ble Justice K.K Lahoti; Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajiv Bhalla (Former Judge, Hon’ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana) ; Mr. Atmaram Nadkarni (ASG, Government of India); Mr. Ravindra Srivastav (Senior Counsel) Mr. Sudhir Sharma, Senior Partner at Luthra & Luthra; Mr. Shashank Garg, Partner Advani & Co. and Convener; and Mr. Divyakant Lahoti.
Head of the Department presented vision/ projections for coming years by highlighting various indicators such as outstanding content leadership in classroom teaching, participation and winning by students of prestigious moot and debating competitions, quality of placements etc., which Faculty of Law, Manav Rachna University aspires to achieve. Members were invited to give suggestions for the further growth of the department. For the purpose of practical training, appointment of practising lawyers as teachers was also suggested by the members.
MOU regarding institution of Shri Ratan Lal Lahoti Memorial Gold Medal in Faculty of Law, was signed by Hon’ble Justice R C Lahoti, Hon’ble Justice K.K. Lahoi and Chancellor, Dr. Prashant Bhalla. A short presentation was also made by Mr. Shashikant, relating to the proposed activities of the CADR in coming months.
