Field trip of Sem II Hotel Management students to DLF Avenue Mall
Department of Hotel Management recently organized a field trip to DLF Avenue Mall for second-semester students. This field trip was designed to expose students to the retail business. The students were given a list of questions to respond to, based on the theme, design, menu planning and service style, among other things. It was a treasure hunt!
Students observed the different types of stores in a mall and learnt about the different types of retail enterprises that could be conducted there. Students were able to observe numerous establishments, their themes, promotional schemes, various equipment employed, interior and design, safety and security measures along with varied merchandise assortments. They were also able to view the store’s layout and decor.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
