Faculty Recharge Programme at FCBS

FCBS organized a Faculty Recharge Programme recently.The Resource Person for the program was Professor Dr. Amit Sethand his topic was ‘Digital Transformation and Digital Marketing’.
The session was attended by around twenty five members from Business studies and commerce Department. The session began with an Ice Breaking Session by involving faculty members to interact on issues of the overall scenario on the Digital Front and how we as Faculty are using these technologies in our day-today teaching deliveries. Government initiatives and their intentions for Digital India, Digital Payments and its use to make governance more effective, efficient and transparent were deliberated upon at the session.

A number of Manav Rachna students’ E-Commerce ventures were put forth for the notice of the audience. Dr. Seth invoked the mindset of the Faculty to look into the need of new challenges faced by them and acquainted them on how to upgrade their digital knowledge and remain abreast with its use to make class room teaching more interesting and relevant to the current requirement of technologically advanced students. Dr. Seth suggested the introduction of some pedagogical tools like: Simulation Games, Online virtual classes by industry experts/eminent Professors of global repute, Video Case Studies, Teaching Tools & Software like Commlab,Slideshare, Prezi, Powtoon, Sparkle and Theanswerpad.com.

Dr. Seth made the faculty aware of the immense need for suitable ‘Digital Marketing Course’ in the market since there is hardly any University which is imparting ‘Digital Marketing Program’ in India. Course Curriculum and Study scheme designed by him for’ Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing’- 1 year course was shared and discussed.
It provoked the participants to revisit and review their teaching pedagogy to suit the aspirations of modern age technologically advanced generation.

Dr. Monika Goyal HoD –Department of Commerce congratulated Dr. Seth on his excellent effort. Among the audience, 8 faculties volunteered to be a part of the core team of Dr. Seth’s Digital Marketing initiative.
