Faculty Development Programme on Enhancing Teaching-Learning Quality

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Manav Rachna Academic Staff College (MRASC) organized One-Week Faculty Development Programme on Enhancing Teaching-Learning Quality from 15th March 2018 to 21 March 2018. The first three days of the workshop were conducted by Dr. V.K. Mahna, ED Quality Assurance and Enhancement on ‘Advanced Excel Techniques’ followed by a session on ‘Enhancing Communication Skills’ on the third day. He taught words from French, Latin and English language and asked the participants to use those words to make sentences.

The sessions on the fourth and fifth day were conducted by Dr. S. K. Bedi, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, MRIIRS, on ‘How to Organize a Successful Brainstorming Session’ and ‘Leading Faculty Teams for Developing Quality Curriculum’ respectively. He involved the participants in a brainstorming session by asking them to share their ideas on ‘How to tackle the problem of rising student absenteeism in higher education?’.

On the last day, Dr. Bedi discussed the art of developing a quality curriculum. He also confronted the audience with the obstacles faced during the process and said, “Curriculum is a package which requires matching resources to achieve expected outcomes”.

The five-day program provided everyone with essential skills and knowledge to apply in their pedagogy.
