One day visit to Exhibition cum Workshop of Technologies in Food Processing Developed by CSIR, conducted in collaboration with Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) & ASSOCHAM was organized recently.
M.Sc. final year students were accompanied by Ms. Divya Puri, Assistant Professor from the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics (FAS) to the workshop.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, Government of India. He was welcomed by Director General, CSIR. This Exhibition Cum Workshop focused on areas like the latest technology, research and development, the introduction of new and innovative products, and B2B meetings with the industry personnel’s in the food processing sector.
Students had a great learning experience, wherein they were able to relate their theoretical knowledge of various new product development strategies to the upcoming technologies showcased there.
They also got a promising opportunity to interact with dignitaries & exhibitors on various issues related to food processing & technology.
