Entrepreneurship Development Programme

The big crisis in today’s scenario is to find employers. Keeping this in view, the Government of India has taken an initiative i.e. change the mindset of future aspirants from job seeker to job creator.Entrepreneurship is the need of the hour.

To keep up with the same trend, NITTTR Chandigarh, a renowned Institute for providing training to the academicians and practitioners organized one week Short Term Program on ‘Innovative Approach to Skill Development and Employment Generation in India’, in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell, FET, MRIU at the campus.

The objectives of this program was to enlighten the concept of skill development among the young aspirants of India who are the keys to the economic development of the country. The National Knowledge Commission has also laid a lot of emphasis on skill development through formal and non-formal modes. Govt of India has recently developed a Skill Development Mission for training 10 million persons per annum during the remaining period of 11th Five-Year Plan.

Govt of India intends to involve ITIs, polytechnics, engineering colleges, institutions of higher learning and the industry to impart skills to the target groups.
