Dr. Jo Barnes, Faculty of Environment and Technology, University of the West of England, visited Manav Rachna University

Dr. Jo has worked extensively in the area of air quality management, policy and practice and currently holds the position of Programme Leader, M.Sc. Environmental Management and M.Sc. Environmental Consultancy and Course Director, Air Quality short courses (CPD). Dr. Jo interacted with Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava (MD, MREI and VC, MRU); Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Mahna (PVC, MRU); Col. Girish Kumar Sharma (Director Planning and Coordination); Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Varshney (Director, MRIIC);

Prof. (Dr.) B.M. Bahal (Dean Research and App Sciences, MRU) and Prof. Jaideep Singh (Director Industry Interaction) and discussed the possibilities of future collaborative work.

She made a presentation about various programmes being offered at the University of the West of England during a meeting with the Deans and HoDs of Manav Rachna University and members of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences cluster. Dr. Jo visited MRIIC and met Prof. (Dr.) B.S. Gill (Executive Director MRIIC) and his team. She saw the demonstration of air filter being developed by MRIIC and appreciated the innovative concept of removing particulate matter from atmosphere.
