Altair Engineering organised a seminar “Driven Design for Smart Products” on how the Industry is progressing and whether Universities are able to cope up with changes in their curriculum as per the requirements of Industry 4.0.
The Keynote speakers of the programme were invited from the Industry as well as education sector. Prof (Dr.) I.K. Bhat, VC, Manav Rachna University was one of the keynote speakers in the program. The focus was how Altair is providing a platform to academicians and students to learn about today’s smart technology. Mr. Matthias Goelke, Senior Director, Altair gave a brief introduction about how the company is putting efforts to produce better engineers by collaborating with Universities.
Prof. (Dr.) I.K. Bhat gave a presentation wherein he raised the issue about the lack of quality engineers and how technical universities are putting efforts to make education system smarter and more skill-based. He also pointed out the latest technology which the Industry 4.0 is adopting like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, 3D printing, Data Analytics and many more. He also suggested that if the Industry continues to collaborate with technical institutions, it will provide a better exposure to students and faculties. This will also help in increasing the employability of our young engineers.
