Diary Writing Competition

The Department of English organized a Diary Writing Competition as a part of the clan activity recently. Diary entry is considered a personal aid that allows one to get nostalgic whenever one rereads it. The event aimed to allow the students to regain the practice of writing a diary so that they acknowledge its significance as ever a beautiful memory of the experiences they meet.

Almost 20 students from B.A. (H) English eagerly took part in the activity. The students wrote eloquently on serious social subjects like witnessing the Kabul attack or experiencing Greece floods. The participants were judged on the basis of content, subjectivity, writing skills, and overall explanation. The competition was conducted well under the guidance of the faculty coordinator, Dr. Tripti. Ms. Astha Gupta was the Student Coordinator of the event.

The best three speakers were selected by Dr. Suchitra Vashisht, Associate Professor Department of English. The winners of the event were Simarjeet Kaur, Harshita, and Priya Vashist.

In the end, Dr. Shivani Vashist, the Head of the Department appreciated the efforts of the students and guided the students to further improve their writing skills.
