Developing Life Skills through MRLSP

In continuation with the Clan activities at Manav Rachna University under Manav Rachna Life Skills Programme, this week witnessed myriad activities with great participation of students. Students were divided into four clans- Water Sharks, Forest Rhinos, Air Falcons, and Wild Cats. Students are also allocated for five verticals- Literary, Cultural, Sports, Media and ISR.

Under the literary vertical, Novella unplugged was conducted wherein students participated in Creative Writing. With all the students receiving different topics and sets, the event became very interesting. They explored their imagination, expressed themselves efficiently. Students were judged on the parameters of originality of idea, grammatical accuracy, vocabulary and no spelling error. An opportunity like this to showcase the literary and imaginative skills of young budding writers was definitely worth participating. The best three essays were selected by the judges Dr Seema, Ms. Savita and Mr. Ram Chatterjee. Ashwat Gupta bagged first prize whereas the second position was secured by Akshita Shukla and Third prize was won by Shivam Kalia.

This was followed by a Calligraphy Workshop Session-II in which 20 students participated. Moving forward with the calligraphy workshop, students practiced thick and thin strokes with different pens like Brush pens, Fineliners & Gel pens. They also learnt various formations & styles for alphabets and words.

Students also took part in various sports activities which boosted their confidence and helped them understand team spirit.
