Data Privacy Awareness Session
To mark Data Privacy Day 2020, Computer Science & Technology Department, Manav Rachna University, organized a session on the topic Data Privacy Awareness & its impact on the Indian Scenario for B.Tech. CSE students and faculty members on January 31, 2020.
Mr. Kartikeya Raman, Associate Director of Cyber Risk Advisory Services, Deloitte India, was the speaker of the session.
He is an experienced Information Privacy & Security professional and Privacy lead for India PDPCOE (Privacy and Data Protection Center of Excellence) at Deloitte. He is a member of the Core Group of Privacy Assets Development at Deloitte India (Innovation and Risk Advisory Assets), Develop Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects for Data Privacy.
He discussed about GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and its seven principles for the lawful processing of personal data. He discussed brief about the collection, organization, structuring, storage, alteration, consultation, use, communication, combination, restriction, erasure or destruction of personal data.
The session was really interactive and informative for the participants.
