Community Health Camp at Community Center

A health camp was organized at Community Center, Sec-46, Faridabad by Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies under the aegis of Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation. The objective of the health camp was to provide free health check up and treatment to the common population by nutrition and physiotherapy professionals. The dedicated professionals who attended the camp included Dr. Priya Mishra and Dr. Shweta Sharma with undergraduate and post graduate students of Physiotherapy and Nutrition & Dietetics. A total of 24 people were treated & advised by the team.

The people were from different age groups & had problems like diabetes, low BP, hypertension, obesity and malnutrition. Most of them were suffering from knee, back and neck pain, and cases of musculoskeletal problems, post fever ailments and cardiac ailments were also reported. General fitness and anthropometry assesment was done by using body composition technique. Regular exercise, ergonomic advices and life style modification were emphasized upon to halt and alter the deterioration level of the patient.

Nutrition counseling was done by the medium of storytelling and their available resources of food items. The nutritionists and physiotherapists advised the people about the healthy diet and exercises to decrease pain and improve the lifestyle.
