Endowed by society to make a sustainable world, Civil Engineers serve ethically and cooperatively as ace builders, constructors, and administrators of society’s built environment. Like other professional fields, Civil Engineering has been evolving towards automation, machine learning, sensor-based diagnosis, and use of robotics.
Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies (MRIIRS), organized a webinar to share the views of experts on the topic ‘Civil Engineering-The Way Forward’, with respect to the contemporary problems in the construction industry and prospective workable solutions.
The guest speakers of the webinar were Dr. Krishna Mohan, Ex-Director General, National Council for Cement & Building Materials, Mr. Ratan Kumar Jha, Zonal Head-North Customer Technical Services, JK Cement Pvt Ltd. and Mr. Yaman Hooda, an alumnus of 2011-15 batch of MRIIRS, currently serving as Asstt. Prof, SGT University, Gurgaon.
The session was attended by 55 participants, comprising students, faculty members from various institutes e.g. MREI, JMI, and industrialists from J.K. Cement Pvt. Ltd., Aimil Pvt. Ltd., etc to name a few. The webinar was followed by a QA session. Panelists had given valuable input on the queries of the audience.
The event was moderated by Dr. Sunita Bansal, Professor along with Ms. Anjali Gupta, Associate Professor.
