Chemistry Students visited Nuclear Power Corporation of India, Narora

A group of 33 students from M.Sc and B.Sc Chemistry along with four faculty members from Manav Rachna University visited Nuclear Power Plant at Narora, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh recently. Dr. Roopa Rani, Dr. S K Shukla, Dr. Prem Kishore and Dr. Vinayak Pathak (faculty members of Department of Chemistry) accompanied the students for the visit.

Students visited Nuclear Power Generation Plant, Main Conference room, Turbine building and Environmental Survey lab which provided plenty of knowledge about the environmental impact of nuclear radioactivity and the actions taken to prevent the loss of radioactivity in the environment.

They were also given a glimpse of work environment and were introduced to the procedure of power generation using video graphics.  Students were really enriched to observe the use of nuclear energy at the plant.
