In tandem with the ethos of Manav Rachna, we work on multiple strategic initiatives to create a holistic development of all the stakeholders, maintaining the high standard of quality and skill sets. Department of Students’ Welfare, MRIIRS celebrated 72nd year of independence by paying homage to our freedom fighters and focusing on stigmas still prevalent in the Indian Society. The event started with lamp lighting ceremony by Dr N C Wadhwa- Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS; Dr M K Soni- Pro Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS; Shri R K Arora- Registrar, MRIIRS and other dignitaries followed by melodious “Saraswati Vandana” by the students. The hall was reverberating with the spirit of patriotism and sense of national pride. The speech of VC and PVC inspired the students to think out of the box and their enthusiasm rose up to several echelons.

The dance performance showcasing the negative impacts of social stigma such as Untouchability, Rape and Religious discrimination was showcased beautifully by the students via their spell bounding performance and the singing performance by Dr Shridhar Kanan, MRDC was met by huge applause from the audience. There were all the elements to entertain and the celebration turned out to be a treat to the eyes and fuel to the nation lover soul. Fashion Show, Live Art, Flute Recital and Music Band entertained and invoked patriotism amongst all.

The graceful performances left everyone spellbound and the audiences were cheering on the top of their voices to elevate the effervescent spirit of patriotism and deep love for nation.
