CDE on Aesthetic restorations: Style Italiano Way

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontic, Manav Rachna Dental College, organized a CDE program, titled ‘Aesthetic restorations: Style Italiano Way’ which included a lecture followed by a demonstration and a hands-on session by Dr. Priyanka Jain Sikka, who is presently working with 3M ESPE Scientific affairs and Education Manager for North India.

Later the demonstration began with simultaneous hands-on session wherein the students were provided with the models and taught how to make a putty index and build up an aesthetic restoration in anterior teeth along with a special emphasis on correct shade selection for the restoration. Each student was provided with micro motor handpieces and burs for them to practice aesthetic restorative skills and learn about the correct way to use composites for restoring aesthetically compromised teeth.
