Department of Management and Commerce, Manav Rachna University organized ‘Business on Campus’ event recently wherein students of BBA- Entrepreneurship and Family Business set up the stalls to sell foods items, games as part of their business set up for a day. A total of 8 business stalls were set up.
The rationale behind this event was to provide practical experience to students to run a business for a day and learn from it. This involved strategizing on selling the product, procurement, pricing the product, setting up the stall (branding). The idea was to have an understanding what the customer needs (students and faculty), the market dynamics, market segment and prepare themselves accordingly.
The students will be presenting their learning, strategy they used and overall outcome next week. This business event brought out the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship ability of the students.
Prof. Jaideep evaluated the business stalls and selected the Top 2 winners. The evaluation was done on the basis of parameters like business idea, product display, pricing, selling skills, and hygiene factor (in case of food items).
Dr. I.K. Bhat, VC-MRU and Prof. (Dr). Sangita Banga, Dean Academics also visited the business stalls and encouraged students for their participation and enthusiasm.
The Business Day on campus was a great success.
