Bhutanese Delegation of Fitness Trainers: Off to a great start

Manav Rachna believes in exchanging knowledge across boundaries through experiential learning platforms and recently welcomed a delegation of fitness trainers who shall be undergoing a rigorous 9 week training under the aegis of Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS), Manav Rachna International University in collaboration with Geo Sports Academy. Under this training which will commence from March 20, 2017 (Monday), approximately 80 trainees from Bhutan will be trained for various skills that will make them ready for the Indian fitness industry.

To set the tone for the training and to acquaint the beneficiaries with the upcoming journey, Manav Rachna has organized Confluence – A four day orientation program that took off on March 15, 2017. On the maiden day of the program, the trainees were subject to an ice breaking session facilitated by Ms. Gauri Bhasin, Head CDC followed by an introspective and enlightening session on SWOT Analysis. A session on Virtual Interface with the MR Universe was held to help the trainees in assimilating and adapting to new surroundings in the campus. To cater to the curious minds of the young and enthusiastic trainees, a campus tour was arranged and they were amazed to see the aesthetically designed plush MR Campus and visited the Innovation and Incubation Centre, Sukam Lab, Radio Manav Rachna, MR Shooting Range and the mecca of knowledge Dr. OP Bhalla Central Library. The second day of the program brought along a warm exchange of cultural views at the Culture Acclimatization session facilitated by Prof. Jaideep Singh. Acknowledging the significance of the well being of its trainees, FAS conducted a Physical Health Check- up that was followed by an Oral Hygiene check up at Manav Rachna Dental College.

A strong construction can only be built on a strong foundation. Considering the importance of Self Disclosure, Feedback and Perceptiveness in enhancing communication skills, a ruminating session was facilitated by Hon’ble MD, MREI Dr. Sanjay Srivastava. Amidst all the intellectual and enlightening discussions the audience was treated with a vibrant show of cultural mélange including dance and culture walk at the Talent Quest facilitated by Department of Student Welfare. Excited with all the warm up, the students are eagerly looking forward to the ensuing days which would be grueling but full of learning & insight.
