Artificial Intelligence & Its Application In Real World
On April 02, 2022, ICT Academy and Manav Rachna University organised a power seminar on “Artificial Intelligence & Its Application In Real World” in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Technology to educate the students about the importance of AI and its relevance in today’s world.
More than 200 participants from CSE, ECE and Mechanical Engineering registered for the workshop. Dr. Susmita Ray,Professor, CST, MRU and Abhinandan Pandey, Relationship Manager, ICT Academy were the inaugural speakers of this seminar. Ms. Chandani Magoo and Ms. Dimple Chehal co-ordinated this workshop. Kanishka Panchal and Prajawal Paul were the students co-ordinators of this workshop . The resource persons were :
- Prakash Narayanan – Head of Digital RPA & Automation CoE, Cyient Digital,Hyderabad
- Kasam Shaikh – Lead Cloud Architect- Senior Manager, Capgemini, Mumbai
- Anvita Bajpai- Master Principal Cloud Architect, JAPAC, Oracle
They all are very knowledgeable speakers with rich academic credentials. Mr. Prakash Narayanan is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in IT and automation strategy. He has worked for the most part of his career in the United States and in India as well. Mr.Kasam Sheikh has 14 years of determined IT experience. He is among India’s first 5 and first from the state of Maharashtra to receive most valuable professional in Artificial Intelligence 2022, a prestigious award from Microsoft. Ms. Anvita Bajpai has 16+ years of experience of professional journey with MNCs and startups.She is an awardee of 51 fabulous Global Smart Cities Leaders 2020 and Women Influencer Innovator of the year 2021.
The seminar started by sharing how AI is already changing the way the world works and what are the different applications of AI. Mr. Prakash Narayanan shared how AI services are used with Microsoft Azure. He discussed the applications of Computer Vision and top AI use cases. The session was then continued by Mr. Kasam Shaikh discussed AI lab projects and JFK Files and shared how the students can explore the projects based on AI. Lastly, Ms. Anvita Bajpai spoke about the applications of AI in the real world. She gave some examples like Oracle for healthcare & to create a new generation of safe, eco-friendly transportation.
The session was followed with a Q & A session with the participants and all their queries were answered by the speakers. Overall, it was an informative and interactive seminar. As part of the feedback, we received a positive response from the attendees, which aided the seminar’s objective. Few photographs of the session are enclosed.
