Ankylos CDE program

All Post-Graduate students of the Department of Prosthodontics and Implantology, Manav Rachna Dental College along with their guide and Head of department, Dr. Pankaj Dhawan attended a scientific program on 9^th November, 2016 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Delhi which showcased presentations on Ankylos implants system covering the contribution of the progressive thread and platform switching to long term functional and esthetic success through lectures, video and live demonstrations of prosthetic options on bone models. As Implant dentistry has evolved into the mainstream of restorative practices all over the world. Implants are now an integral part of the cosmetic dentistry revolution. More and more patients who become partially or fully edentulous now consider implant treatment as the most suitable option. Keeping this in mind a program was uniquely designed to enhance the knowledge of participants in the field of Implant dentistry. Key speaker Dr. Pablo Hess (Oral surgeon in Department of Dental Surgery and Implantology of ZZMK Clinical Center at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt) personally interacted and broadened the horizon of post-graduate students in the field of implants and different prosthetic options associated with them.

Key Highlights of the program included–Ankylos 30 years Journey- Surface treatment, Data, Case discussion with videos; Different prosthetic options with Ankylos and four different methods for sinus floor elevation used in the University of Frankfurt (including short implants).
