Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, MRIIRS organized an Alumni Interaction on “Career Prospects of Civil Engineering” recently. The session was delivered by Mr. Mohit, a student of Batch: 2012-16. The session was attended by all UG & PG students of the Civil Engineering department.
Mr. Mohit completed B.Tech (Civil Engineering) in 2016 and served industry for about a year and half in India before he joined Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia for pursuing Masters in Construction and Infrastructure Management. He is currently working with Precast Concrete Solutions and is based in Canberra.
He talked about his academic and career experiences. He also recalled the campus life he enjoyed in Manav Rachna and emphasized the value of site visits, internships and training while interacting with them. He encouraged students to participate in co-curricular activities and motivated them to remain focused in the current scenario and make best possible use of their time. He thanked all the faculty members for the support extended while was here.
At the end, the speaker invited questions from students. Students participated in the event with a lot of enthusiasm. Towards the end Dr. Sunita Bansal, HoD, Civil Engineering thanked the alumni for the motivational talk.
