A session on “MINDFULNESS: A Critical Skill for 21st Century Learners” was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Technology for the students of BTech. CSE IV semester with specialization in Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning.
The resource person of the session was Dr. Savita Sharma, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education, Manav Rachna University.
The objective of the session was to study the effectiveness of the mindfulness-based intervention on the academic achievements of Engineering students who are working on solving real-world problems.
Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present at the moment, aware of where we are, what we are doing, and what’s going on around us.
This session was extremely beneficial to students because there are times when a student is under a lot of stress, unable to focus, and sometimes unable to concentrate. Mindfulness is one of the ways to reduce stress, improve performance, gain insight, and awareness by observing our own minds.
